Regime Records is an urban independent record label / artist development firm founded by Laszlo 'Cicatrixx' van Leeuwen, with its current headquarters based in Cape Town, South Africa. Our artists’ various social media pages reach a grand total of 120,000 fans and have received over 2.9 million song plays online. So far, we've got 8 projects scheduled for release in 2013, from a total of 11 artists, with music ranging from hard hip hop and smooth R&B all the way to Dubstep inspired club bangers and jazz-influenced ballads to tear your heart to. We make art. Revolutionary art. Since our launch in September 2012, South Africa's streets have been abuzz, turning Regime Records into an influential vehicle that brands such as Red Bull, Castle and Russian Bear Vodka were quick to jump onto through advertising deals. Regime Records' mission is just as our name states: to influence the masses the way a regime would. Our mission is to influence the prevailing set of rules, cultural and social norms that influence the attitude that we as a society exercise toward one another, through a combination of business and entertainment, to not only spread the necessary messages, but to create much needed job opportunities for our fellow brothers and sisters, regardless of culture and ethnicity.
