RED Center is an integrated, multi-jurisdictional dispatch center that provides for the capability of the closest station response regardless of jurisdictional boundaries through a coordinated central office. Since 1977, RED Center has provided efficient, effective EMS and fire responses to emergencies. RED Center serves as the dispatch center for 14 fire departments in the near Chicago suburbs, MABAS Division 3, Statewide MABAS Incidents, K9/Drone Search and Rescue Strike Team Incidents, and suburban responses to the City of Chicago and O'Hare International Airport.
