The Renju International Federation is the international overall organization in the domains of Renju and was founded August 8, 1988 in Stockholm, Sweden.
RIF unites national federations and directs the renju world. RIF also includes the game of Gomoku as an additional game.
The main tasks of RIF are to unite renju countries, carry out important international title competitions such as World Championships and others, to spread renju in world.
The Renju International Federation consists of member countries, three of them are the founder-members. Besides the member countries, there is some renju activity in many other countries as well.
World Championships are held every second year.
