ReSHAPE Overview

The "Regional Skills Horizon and Pathways to Employment" (ReSHAPE) project is co-funded by the Government of Ireland and the European Union through the EU Just Transition Fund Programme 2021-2027. ReSHAPE is led by Munster Technological University (MTU) with partners Technological University of the Shannon (TUS) and the University of Limerick (UL), is a strategic initiative to deliver education, training and skills development opportunities for the economic development and environmental sustainability of the Midlands region. A key innovation of ReSHAPE is its platform designed to formulate extensive skills profiles for individuals, businesses and communities in the region. This platform surpasses traditional skill inventories, identifying skills gaps and mapping them to the most appropriate educational and training opportunities in real time, ensuring a data-driven approach to the design and delivery of skills, education and training support in the region. This data will be invaluable in attracting FD&I into the midland’s region. The project includes a funding mechanism to support the educational and training programs delivered through the project partners. This funding is crucial in ensuring accessibility, allowing for a wide- reaching impact across the region. ReSHAPE presents an innovative and collaborative model for sustainable regional development. Through advanced use of technology, data, and a citizen centric approach to individual and community empowerment, the project will benefit individuals, businesses and other key stakeholders in the Midlands Region and serve as a scalable framework for other regions. ReSHAPE’s alignment with the objectives of the EU's economic transition and environmental sustainability initiatives further cements its role as a pivotal contributor to Ireland's future economic landscape
