The mission of the Restorative Justice Coalition is to create a just system that impacts victims, society and those who offend in a positive, restorative manner. Our vision is to create a just, equitable criminal justice system that encourages rehabilitation rather than recidivism.
Our goal is to provide EDUCATION to the public regarding their rights, restorative justice practices and co-develop solutions to infrastructural harms, STIMULATE communities to take action to improve the systemic harms within in their own communities, HOLD elected officials and public servants ACCOUNTABLE to uphold the highest esteem of standards regarding the criminal justice system and public safety, RESEARCH the newest ways of creating a safer, just and more equitable criminal justice system, SERVE the community that is at most risk within the system (stakeholders), and BUILD strong communities that remove the need for the criminal justice system as it currently functions.
