The restorative practice awards are to celebrate and recognise schools, employers, communities and the CJS who work and practice restoratively. We believe that the field of Restorative Practices have significant implications for all aspects of society from employment and education to the criminal justice sector and communities. Restorative practices can develop better relationships among these organisations’ constituents and help the overall organisation to function more effectively. Restorative Practices have been developed worldwide and are based on indigenous communities who dealt with wrongdoing or conflict in a restorative way. With the belief that each person in the community had value and worth, it was never an option to cast them out or remove them.
