Our desire at Revival Sport is to see multiplication of disciples among refugees and immigrants through sport and play. We believe that Houston is the best place for us to see our vision accomplished. 42% of Houston's population older than five speak a language other than English at home. In addition, 1.6 million Houstonians (1 in 4) were born outside of the U.S. Since 2014, Revival Sport has been able to launch discipleship strategies in 16 neighborhoods of Houston and serve over 6,000 families from 99 nations. Over 350 children and youth are currently involved in our weekly discipleship programs. What brings much joy to our hearts is that 93% of our weekly participants are engaged in Bible reading.
We believe that Houston can be a model for other cities in North America, just like Jerusalem was a model city in the New Testament times. According to the Rice Kinder Institute, most major cities in North America will look like Houston by 2035. This means that the ministry models we innovate and test in Houston can be multiplied throughout our nation. This is why every ministry model we create is simple, scalable, and sustainable. As of 2023, our models, such as Cup of Nations, League of Nations, and KidsClubs, have been multiplied to 31 cities in North America as well as over 30 countries around the world.
Our Models:
League of Nations – an after-school soccer league that combines soccer skills with Bible stories and life values.
Cup of Nations – a tournament that serves as a bridge that connects the Body of Christ with the international community of our city.
Kids Club – a place where kids can be discipled in a fun and safe environment.
Our Objectives by 2030:
To launch the "League of Nations" in all 46 schools of the Alief Independent School District with over 2,100 players participating in it.
To launch "KidsClub" for immigrant/refugee children in 100 locations of the Greater Houston Area, reaching over 1,500 children weekly.
