In order to improve logistical services between The Netherlands and Italy, Richard Kempers SA was founded already in 1984. Still today our staff is for 80 % composed of Dutch people with years of experience in the field of Italy- transport. Of course they speak Italian fluently and that makes our presence so particular: easy communication with suppliers and clients.
From the beginning we specialized in groupage and partial loads between Holland and Italy. Still today this is our target market, but since the liberalisation of the European market we organise traffics to and from any country, as long as Italy is involved.
The employment of our own fleet in combination with excellent local distributors allow us to control shipments from the start, using modern communications systems. We offer client- dedicated services, which means that the contact person at Richard Kempers is your personal planner, who monitors the shipments from the beginning until the end. These are only a few reasons that explain why we have important and demanding importers and exporters among our clients.
In the seven most strategic zones of Italy we have terminals at our disposal: Milano, Como, Modena, Firenze, Roma, Verona and Civitanova Marche. From Chiasso we control all operations without interference of agents.
The difficulties that transporters suffer at present transiting the Gotthard made it necessary for us to offer an alternative for genuine road transport. Henceforth since 2002 we started to build up our own fleet of 45 ft.(90m3-28 tons) box-and tiltcontainers for Intermodal transport, using the International railway system to cover the long distances and trucking for the local operations.
