Richmond United was established in 2014, by the Richmond Strikers and Richmond Kickers, when the two clubs united their respective U.S. Soccer Development Academy (DA) and Elite Clubs National League (ECNL) teams to introduce a collaborative program designed to serve the most talented boys and girls players in the central Virginia region. Richmond United’s vision is to offer the most comprehensive and successful player development environment for soccer in the state. We will inspire our members, strive to achieve excellence and unite our soccer community. We want to be a model among youth soccer clubs in the US. Currently, Richmond United has 14 teams, U13-23, playing in the Elite Clubs National League (ECNL) and Club Champions League (CCL). Richmond United is highly competitive within both leagues — finishing the 2021/22 season as #15 in the ECNL overall club rankings and winning 2 of the last 4 CCL Pro23 championships.
