Established in 2011 by a group of De Montfort University students, Riders of Shaam has since gone on to host annual cycle rides to different parts of Europe. All for worthy causes such as local Hospices and international aid raising over £1,200,000 to date!
The name 'Riders of Shaam' is to highlight the challenge of riding a bike for the purpose of raising money for the war-torn areas of 'Shaam'.
Over the years, the group has worked with many recognised charities such as PennyAppeal, Ummah Welfare Trust, Islamic Relief, Human Appeal and One Nation as well as local hospices such as LOROS and Rainbows (on-going).
