The Nelson A. Rockefeller Center for Public Policy and the Social Sciences was dedicated in September 1983 to honor Nelson A. Rockefeller '30 who contributed his wisdom, energy, and resources to Dartmouth College and to the nation.

• Stimulate cross-disciplinary approaches to policy problems;
• Promote understanding of policy issues in the community beyond Dartmouth.
