Romoni is the first and currently the largest salon-at-home brand in Bangladesh. Founded in 2018, Romoni provides a 360 platform for women microentrepreneurs in the beauty industry to start, run and grow their salon-at-home business. Romoni standardizes and facilitates the entire process by providing skills training, professional salon products with custom in-house formulations, microcredit, and marketing support.
Most of the skilled women in the beauty industry typically migrate to the capital city Dhaka for seeking employment in the parlors and salons, with only a fraction managing to be successful in doing so. Romoni is creating an inclusive platform for the underserved portion of individual, small and medium-sized players in the industry to have a stronger base for growing their businesses and becoming financially independent.
