It was founded by Ron Dias and Joanne Jansen in 2016 from the emerging need for creating a platform for diverse stories to be told out of Toronto. Ron and Aussie bring together innovative storytelling with the power of bipoc creatives while holding a mirror back to society. Their mission is to give a voice to the unheard and amplify the stories of diverse, underrepresented artists and marginalized communities.
