We decided in late 2019 during the COVID-19 pandemic that we needed to act forward and take care of our family. There were toilet paper shortages, produce, meat, and dairy supplies were extremely low and high-priced, and people were unsure about the near future. We didn't want to be left without the ability to feed our family.
We live along the shores Lake Erie, in Lake County, Ohio, just east of downtown Cleveland in Zone 6b. We enjoy countless sunsets every summer, and blustery cold winters.
This is where our homesteading journey began. We planned our first garden planted on our original property of a 1/3 acre lot. We're beginners, but we've learned a lot. Please join us on our journey of growing, preserving, and taking care of our own little family! Now we want to share our favorites with the world, help people plant and grow their own, and know where our food comes from.
