The Rotary Club of the University Area (RCUA), located near the Texas Medical Center (TMC), has undertaken the service project of assisting fire fighters including professional and volunteer fire fighters, first responders and their immediate families by providing fully furnished housing, at no or low cost, that is secure and accessible to TMC while they are undergoing active treatment at TMC for any medical condition that is the result of an on the job injury or resulting medical condition. The housing will be open to firefighters and their families throughout the United States and to foreign firefighters on a “space available” basis.
