Established in 1985, we have being stellar work in areas of medical and non-medical field. One of the premier clubs in Rotary District 3141, we are blessed by a great team of veterans and young volunteers.
Rotary club of Mumbai ghatkopar has had some pet projects like Blood donation vans, Mobile dental checkup vans, dialysis machines, monthly medical camps and many more in the medical sector. We conduct annual mega medical camps that cater to thousands of patients every year since last 10 years. Our club has done huge amount of work in polio corrections in the last few decades including thousands of free operations and treatments. Our club has been a pioneer in Yoga classes since 2001 which more than a thousand people have benefited from. We also conducted free gynecological operations in Gujarat and Maharashtra. In the education sector we have been regularly providing notebooks to schools, night schools and poor students. We have also been providing E-Learning kits to schools where necessary. In the energy conservation and environmental projects we have been providing rooftop solar projects for schools and smokeless stoves for rural households. We have been very supported and other community projects from time to time as per need to of community. We have developed a Nana Nani park for senior citizens next to our Rotary Service center and a Botanical Garden in Ghatkopar that has hundreds of plant species for young minds to engage themselves. In today’s times of COVID19 pandemic our club has been supporting our frontline worriers by donations of PPE kits to hospitals and quarantine centers. We had also setup a community kitchen with support of other stakeholders and supplied more then 1.6 million meals in last three months of lockdown. We had also supplied ration kits worth more than a crore of rupees to the needy and poor.
