We started Rough Cut Tools in the spring of 2015. We live in So Cal. My husband was in Pennsylvania drilling oil wells. One month things got rough and my son and I had to figure out how to make some quick money. We weren't working because I was his caregiver, he was ill for 3 years. He had severely damaged his pancreas from drinking and ended up in ICU and almost died. I had been making jewelry for several years prior and had lots of inventory of gemstones and beads. So we started making key chain roach clips and we made money in the first store we stopped in! Of course they were very primitive in the beginning and we had to teach ourselves how to solder, what wire to use etc. We perfected our roach clips and then decided we wanted to create one of a kind dabbers. We found a glass blower that worked for Disney for 25 years and had to figure out together how to make this concept come to life. Through trial and error we perfected these also. We've received great comments about how well they work. Most cannabis and CBD smokers prefer the glass dabber over metal tools because of the melt. My job is to make them beautiful and unique. I'm a third generation Californian, grew up at the beach and like to put that style into my work. My son is also an artist and a medical marijuana patient.Rosin,sugar wax, dab, wax, concentrates, dab tools, rough cut, spliff queen, stonerdays, Now we are medical marijuana advocates. We believe that in the future dabbing will become essential for the CBD/Hemp movement now that we're legalizing cannabis. Every item we design is handmade by us and will always be one of a kind. Our gemstones come mostly from Brazil and our wood beads come from all over California. We search thrift stores and estate sales, also friends collect for us on their travels through the state. A lot of our beads are collected from Humboldt. It's fun collecting and creating these tools knowing someone will enjoy them. Hope you do!
