The Department of Applied Computer Education represents a number of technology programs at Red River College Polytechnic
Our Business Information Technology (BIT) program has roots back to 1968, where it began as the Computer Analyst/Programmer (CAP) program, transitioning to the Information Systems Technology (IST) program in the 1990s, and later to BIT since 2010.
Our Business Technology Management program started in 2016 and graduated its first class at the end of 2017 and was designed to train professionals to bridge the gaps between technology and management.
Our Information Security program, prepares individuals towards careers in enterprise and web-based IT security systems.
Coming September 2021, our new Data Science and Machine Learning program will prepare students for careers in data analysis and development.
