We are a new social impact fund + nonprofit focusing on investing in companies that will help eradicate factory farming and bolster a new food supply chain that is animal-free and cruelty-free (e.g.,investing in start-ups focusing on plant-based companies, alternative proteins, or sentient welfare orgs). Our mission is simple: become a self sufficient organization that generates capital -- a mixture of grants, private capital, revenue, and more -- to then invest in causes, start-ups, and efforts that yield a tangible ROI, e.g., eliminating factory farms. Sentient beings -- land and sea animals, insects, and more -- all deserve basic dignity and support as their welfare is just as important as humans. Our inaugural fund will be raising 25 million dollars from endowments for our first fund but we will be seeking capital from grants and other revenue sources through a combination of crowd-sourced strategy, fellow-led initiatives, and investment capital.
