The Run/Walk For Life programme is a three-times-a-week exercise plan. This allows your muscles enough time to recover and reduces risk of injury. All of the walking and running programmes suit any age or fitness level and ability, and promote weight loss, stress relief and many other medical benefits. For those who are already fit, Run / Walk For Life is able to offer advanced fitness training too (over 200 of our members ran Comrades last year). Sessions are three times a week and, during the first month (and dependant on your fitness level), last for up to 30 minutes. Advancement up levels is gradual and according to a scientific formula, to ensure progress that is not too rapid, but similarly not to slow.
