Rupert Wesson is a coach, consultant and trainer who works in the field of leadership, communications and business development. In the last five years he has successfully coached individuals from the front line of business leadership right-up to executive board level. He has worked with blue chip corporates in a number of sectors including finance, technology, infrastructure and transportation. He has also worked in politics and the third sector. Much of his work involves equipping people with the skills and confidence to pitch, present and persuade as well to build lasting and productive business relationships. Prior to working in the field of development he served as a British Army Officer. This varied first career included front line leadership roles as well as exposure to operations at a strategic and even diplomatic level. These varied and valuable experiences inform much of his work today as does his time working with leading corporate organisations in London and Europe. In addition to coaching he is qualified in the systems approach to training and he provides consultancy support around learning programme design and evaluation. Projects have included analysis of an Operational Risk curriculum for a FTSE 100 company. The recommendations led to greater accountability and created savings of £2M. He is a qualified coach and he is currently studying for a postgraduate level diploma in Executive Coaching and Mentoring.
