Die RWTÜV-Stiftung wurde 2007 vom RWTÜV e.V. gegründet. Ihr Stiftungszweck „Förderung von Wissenschaft und Forschung auf den Gebieten Technik, Sicherheit und Umwelt“ ist komplementär zum Vereinszweck ihres Stifters. Die RWTÜV-Stiftung unterstützt wissenschaftliche Projekte an vielen namhaften Hochschulen in Deutschland. Geförderte Projekte stammten unter anderem aus den Bereichen Nano-Technologie, Brennstoffzellentechnik oder Radartechnik für autonomes Fahren.
