Our story is rooted in Recovery and Hope.
Terry and Brent, the Founders of Safe Harbour Retreat, both completed treatment programs over 20 years ago and started their journey from lives of addiction, sorrow and failure, to redemption, sobriety and purpose. Brent and Terry met at an AA meeting and realized they shared the same dream of opening a Recovery and Wellness Retreat on Gabriola Island.
Matching Brent’s skills, passion, education and career experience in the counselling addictions and recovery field with Terry’s background of business and vision, Safe Harbour Retreat was formed. They created a Retreat to give away what they were given - Hope and Recovery, to people who are lost.
