SafeSchool Nigeria is a flagship program of over 20 NGOs working in the reduce incidents of Sexual and Gender Based Violence in schools, communities around schools and other public spaces in Nigeria. Current activities include operation of a mobile phone platform comprising voice-call service, IVR and SMS platform, Calls to this line is free of charge to victims who want to report cases of violations. Safeschool wants to establish contacts with donors, fiscal sponsors, technical assistance providers and develop referral pathway with relevant service providers concerned with SGBV in Nigeria. This will ease the challenge faced by victims who cannot afford transport, or even phone call to the service centre and curb social stigma associated with SGBV issues.
