The Safetytrim System allows a loose wheel nut to loosen a fraction. In doing so a yellow indicator appears in the window on the trim, alerting the driver that this wheel nut has moved.
However, the indicator stops there and cannot rotate any further than its indicating position, this is the retaining function.
Safetytrims are a push-fit and are held on the wheel nuts by way of interference fit and are manufactured to fit 6, 8 or 10-stud wheels.
The system, coupled with a rigorous maintenance program, will reduce wheel nut related incidents to the bare minimum.
It has been adopted by multiple high-profile operators who simply cannot be seen to have loose wheel nuts or worse, wheel-off incidents published in the public domain.
