Sail Arabia has the following objectives: A. Promote the integration of people with special needs in the mainstream communities of the Arab Countries. B. Provide young people with a challenging and rewarding program of personal and character development. C. Promote Arabian Maritime Heritage and nautical history as well as general Arab culture and heritage Strategies Initiatives 1. Create a not for profit organization to develop, organize and coordinate all required activities and to communicate with all stakeholders. 2. Design and build a barrier-free Arabian dhow as a display project where community volunteers can be involved with the construction and guided tours to explain cultural heritage and significance 3. Design and build a visitors centre to: a. Promote Arabian Maritime Heritage and Nautical History. b. Use as building location for the special Arabian Dhow. c. Allow active community participation in the build process. 4. Create dhow sailing programs, which promote the integration of people with special needs and challenge all participants to become responsible citizens. 5. Create educational programs for schools to increase awareness and acceptance of the cultural and human development goals.
