We have been working with the poor, under served and Tribal people of Gujarat for 30 plus years (previously as Sarvodaya Kendra). Through many ongoing projects such as starting schools in the most remote villages, providing micro-enterprise financing, monthly health and medical care camps, agriculture and watershed development, and craft development – we aim to transform the lives of impoverished yet culturally rich peoples.
Community organizing is an inevitable and important result of these projects.
“Samvedana” means compassion. Samvedana Trust is made up of a group of dedicated social workers who believes that compassion is the only humanitarian way to create a sense of ‘belongingness’ among poor to the other groups of society, irrespective of cast, creed or religion
