Sandstone Energy Alberta Overview

Sandstone Energy is a division of Utility Network and Partners Inc. and offers competitive rates for electricity, natural gas and green energy in Alberta. 100% of Sandstone's net income is donated to the Calgary Public Library Foundation. As a locally owned and operated business in Calgary, the Sandstone Energy name was inspired by Calgary's unique history. In 1886 Calgary looked like most western towns, with a series of wood frame houses, but this changed after the great fire of 1886. Fire fighters did their best, but a large portion of Calgary burned down in spite of them. Those who built after the great fire began using materials more fire-proof than wood, this material was Sandstone. The yellow stone was not only practical, it was attractive. Calgary became known as "The Sandstone City". We are proud to be born in Calgary and are dedicated to the local community and the residents within it. Our local team not only has deep roots in the city, but also in Alberta’s energy industry. Russ Hantho is the Director of Sandstone Energy. He is a Senior Management Leader with extensive experience of Alberta’s power industry. Over the past 20 years he has excelled in the marketing of power products and natural gas pipeline services, power transmission development, contract negotiation, business unit planning, corporate strategy development, and merger integration.
