Saptkrishi Scientific Pvt Ltd. is an agritech startup determined to solve the problem of the perishability of fruits and vegetables for street hawkers, and small & marginal farmers. Globally, it is estimated that up to 40% of horticultural produce is wasted, which not only leads to economic losses of approximately $160 billion per year but also contributes to around 5% of greenhouse gas emissions and consumes about 10% of the world's freshwater resources.
To solve this Saptkrishi has developed one of its kind affordable storage named SABJIKOTHI which maintains freshness and extends the shelf-life of fruits and vegetables anywhere around 3 to 30 days without using any chemicals, preservatives or refrigerants. Sabjikothi only needs 20 watts of power for its operation and supports solar charging. The storage can be assembled upon any suitable means of transportation.
Saptkrishi has deployed more than 500 units of Sabjikothi and found a significant increase in the income of farmers and hawkers by more than 30% and a reduction in wastage by more than 40%. Each deployed storage mitigates around 1276.8 kg of carbon emission which is equivalent to cultivating 60 trees hence every 1 rupee spent gives a societal return of 20 rupees.

1. Sabjikothi:- An affordable storage that accommodates 150 to 200 kg of fruits and vegetables. This storage is specially designed for Small-Marginals farmers, fruit and vegetable shopkeepers and HoReCa (Hotels, Restaurants and canteens).
2. Sabjikothi Cart:- An affordable 3-wheel or 4-wheel cart specially designed for street hawkers that can accommodate around 200- 250 KG of fruits and vegetables and keeps it fresh for a longer duration of time. Designed for Hawkers and vendors.
3. Sabjikothi E-Cart:- This storage is specially designed for inter-village, Inter City movement of fruits and vegetables while keeping them fresh. This storage is also used for house to house fresh delivery of fruits & Vegetables.
