Himalay Unnati Mission (HUM) is "Save Himalaya" initiative that creates a knowledge partnership with a strong advisory and research team to strategically analyze, explains, and creates effective policies for state and central government to preserve, protect & resurrect the Ecology, Economy, Socio - Cultural, and Spiritual heritage of Himalaya. Our vision is to create a movement to protect, foster & resurrect the biological, economic, cultural, and spiritual heritage of the Himalayas. The mission is to blend policy level research with grassroots developmental projects in the Himalayan region by working with Government & Quasi Government organisations, Researchers, Individuals, Corporates & NGOs as knowledge partners in order to form a consolidated action plan & create a cross exchange of best practices across the Himalayas. Our founder, Gurudev Sri Sri Ravishankar's message - "The crown of Bharat Mata, Himalayas are a pride of the world and a lifeline of over 1.9 billion inhabitants of this world. Given its importance it is imperative to create a unified voice, when it comes to preserving its sacredness. There is a need for regional cooperation to promote more consistent, holistic and integrated solutions to preserve its sacredness and to facilitate more sharing of innovative best practices and to create more global attention to the Himalayas."
