SAVE UA MEDIA NGO is an independent organization comprising professional Ukrainian journalists dedicated to advocating for the development of independent journalism in Ukraine. It was registered in Odesa, Ukraine, in October 2022 in response to the media crisis which the Ukrainian media sphere has been undergoing since the beginning of the war. As of now, over 90% of Ukrainian media have lost all their income. At least 30% of the media have been shut down, leaving thousands of journalists without jobs. SAVE UA MEDIA is raising funds to help Ukrainian journalists create new independent media and make them self-sustainable, gain new professional skills via training, and provide urgent help for Ukrainian journalists who lost their jobs, or found themselves in difficult life situations.
