Since opening our first workshop on the edge of the Savernake Forest in 2016 we have been in tireless pursuit of the perfect knife, through a combination of the finest materials, modern innovations and traditional craft.
In our endless pursuit of perfection, we have ripped up the knife making rule book.
We started at the chopping board and worked back, asking ourselves what makes the cleanest, most graceful cut? What fits just so in the hand? What turns any ingredient to butter? What makes service or dinner party prep fly by, yet will last a lifetime in the kitchen? What does every cook or chef need to best express their creativity, nourish their loved ones and excel in their careers? We are always asking ourselves those questions and many more. Always innovating and always pushing our processes forward. Taking one of mankind’s oldest crafts, and bringing it into the 21st century.
Every one of our knives is made by hand and to order by our small team of craftsmen and each one can be entirely customised or a bespoke creation.
By choosing a custom Savernake, you will have the chance to create a knife completely unique to you, selecting the handle material, liner and pins to suit your style, as well as adding a personalised blade engraving at no additional cost.
Our bespoke knife option gives you the chance to design your own bespoke knife. You could conceive something entirely new, recreate an old favourite or combine different aspects of classic knives. The possibilities are endless.
Like every Savernake knife, yours will be made from the highest quality 14c28n Sandvik Swedish steel and sharpened by hand and eye for the ultimate cutting edge. It will feature our trademark concave hollow grind, expertly blended into a tapering convex cutting edge for a smoother, more graceful cut. Our special blade geometry makes our knives incredibly light, strong and easy to hone.
