In March 2017, the doors of the “International School of Peace” (ISOP) for refugees on the island of Lesvos in Greece were opened by two educational organizations from Israel: A Jewish organization - Hashomer Hatzair, and an Arab-Israeli organization - Ajial. After 3 successful years of operations, the school has become the largest pre-school readiness platform on the island of Lesvos with more than 5,000 beneficiaries from Syria, Iran, Afghanistan, Congo, Iraq and more.
Our school provides intercultural humanistic education to children refugees, with limited resources and with a big impact. Our model is a case study that can be adopted in other post-disaster refugee areas of the world. We invite you to take part of a real change and scale up our success.
