Scotch & Water’s indie-rock/dreampop promises to appeal to vinyl lovers of the first hour, witnesses of the New Wave revival of the early 2000s as well as children of the new millennium as they confidently weave influences from Fleetwood Mac to Arcade Fire, Bon Iver or The War on Drugs into multifaceted and complex soundscapes. A confidence they draw from the speed of the early successes of their mere three years in existence.
Those three years were shaped by the self-release of a 7"-Vinyl double single, their first invitation to play Reeperbahn Festival in 2018, before being signed to Hamburg's own indie-label DevilDuck Records, where they followed up their early successes with an EP in 2019 and their well-received debut full-length 'Sirens' in May 2021. Keeping busy they also managed to fit a Canada tour, another Reeperbahn appearance, multiple support shows, a few festivals and a headlining tour in Germany into their schedule. Now they are looking ahead to 2022 with high hopes for ESNS as well as some other exciting plans including new music, a short documentary and the re-release of their EP on vinyl.
