Scratches Restaurant NFP is organized for charitable and social purposes. The Corporation is a nonprofit foodservice organization designed to provide for the basic needs of the unemployed, low-income and homeless population in exchange for their services. The Corporation was born with one guiding principle in mind, coined by Abraham Lincoln, “with malice towards none, with charity towards all.” The Corporation’s goal is to provide food to as many people as have the need, in exchange for their services to help maintain the restaurant. The Corporation’s objective is to strengthen the community by helping those who are struggling. The Corporation is a new organization with a different twist, however it is one rooted in pure principles and thus will grow and weave its way into the fabric of the community, improving it and creating hope for families.
