Sculpture at Bathers began in 2013 to tell the story of West Australian sculpture as a distinctively special practice.
Set in the heritage listed Arts Precinct of Bathers Beach/Manjaree in the West End of Fremantle WA, the biennial outdoor open air exhibition transforms and delights viewers of all ages. A walkable colour filled gallery of 3D works that extends from the beach to the boardwalks and coastal bushland, S@B tells the stories of our time and our place; supports the development and growth of our state; fosters community connection and is vital for the longevity and sustainability of our arts and culture sectors.
After four successful free exhibitions in 2013, 2015, 2017, 2020 and 2022, Sculpture at Bathers has become a much loved part of Perth’s arts calendar. S@B has supported over 320 WA artists and drawn over 250 000 viewers.
