seatang, is a registered MSME, founded to contribute to developing the seaweed industry on Gujarat coast. It is founded and led by a woman entrepreneur with an aim to add value to the seaweed biomass. Unlike Tamil Nadu coast, there is a need to establish cultivation at large scale on Gujarat coast for an assured supply of raw material for industrial development in this sector. Inspite of having longer coastline, the sea of Gujarat has its own unique challenges that has hindered the growth of this industry.
