We are a platform on the national Constitution, harnessing citizen energy and mobilizing communities to ensure that each citizen can – individually and in concert with others – use the national Constitution for self-advancement and self-protection.
At the core of our work is the belief that our challenges are not insurmountable, that the solutions we seek are aptly framed in our national Constitution. That, if we are indeed ‘United in our diversity by our common desire for freedom, justice and equality’ the walls of oppression, injustice, inequality and suffering will fall. That, if each and everyone of us has agency to use the Constitution as a means for participation, protection of enshrined rights, and as a tool for holding the State and one another accountable, we would as a people fulfill our aspirations and hopes as espoused in our national Constitution.
At Section7, we raise, develop, support, organise and engage leaders based on national Constitutional awareness and values, and we use Constitutional research, advocacy, and leadership training for agenda-setting and action.
