As a living, complex ecosystem it has produced a tradition of cultural foodways and regenerative land management, which we've lost touch with — partly because of a reduction in small, minority-owned and Indigenous farm sites. Healthy, carbon-rich soil increases food security and decreases environmental pollution. We're working to ensure that these smallholders, especially Black, Brown, Indigenous and women farmers, will no longer be left behind because of cost and or access to innovation.
