Seeds of Knowledge (SOW) is dedicated to the educational betterment of children in Africa. We are a small passionate team of people who strive to promote literacy year-round in under-resourced areas of Africa. We are a diverse group of men and women of all nationalities and walks of life. We are accountants, businessmen, businesswomen, college professors, executives, homemakers, school teachers, graduate, undergraduate, high school and middle school students, all committed to making a difference in the lives of children.
Our main focus is education. We run solely on the aid of our passionate volunteers eager to plant the Seeds of Knowledge. Although our roots are grounded in Benin, it is because of our dedicated volunteers that we have been able to successfully spread SOW seeds in Ethiopia, Ivory Coast, Senegal, and recently Haiti.
We strive to provide educational opportunities for under-served children through our book donation (textbooks/activity books/supplementary reading materials, school supplies), library construction, literacy and scholarship programs.
