Within the Applications element of its Science for Society programme, ESA has supported the development of a wide range of Earth-observation based solutions that address key stakeholder needs driven by International and European policies.
There is however still a need to engage with new users and stakeholders to maximise the uptake of these solutions, while also ensuring that the engagement with existing stakeholders continues following the end of each project.
The role of the SEF is to implement a systematic knowledge and capacity sharing service across different ESA-funded Applications projects, continuing and expanding engagement with diverse stakeholder communities through a range of tailored approaches.
