Semlux Technologies started as an engineering consultancy in the lighting, semiconductor and photovoltaic industries. Through internal R&D efforts and using only self-funding, Semlux transitioned to developing and incubating several innovative silicon processes for low cost and high value applications. These include: 1. Laser granulation of high purity silicon powder (set up state of the art turnkey lab facility at a major polysilicon company using proprietary IP and expertise). 2. Advanced Laser CVD process for mixed chlorosilanes decomposition to silicon. 3. Auxiliary low cost MG-silicon substitute feedstock for standard chemical purification routes from kerf and other silicon process wastes. 4. Lowest cost polysilicon from kerf silicon recovery using metallurgical conversion. (Massachusetts CEC Catalyst Award winner, 2016.) 5. Float Zone mono-crystalline wafers from kerf derived polysilicon.
