As a physical security consultant, I evaluate potential risks and make recommendations to improve yours and your client’s safety. I will assess policy and procedure and will create a holistic strategy that incorporates threat assessment, environmental design, and asset inventory to reduce the likelihood of adverse security incidents. While some security professionals work as part of a security firm, I am an independent consultant that specialize in providing services to small, mid-size and large corporations. My role, duties and responsibilities revolve around physical security measures, but will also provide training and information to help your personnel interact with their environment in a way that protects and promotes security and awareness. It is important to note that as an independent security consultant, I do not sell security equipment, products, or guard services. This means that my advice is based on your best interests rather than the desire to sell a specific product or service as other “consultants” do. I will go out of the way to even avoid the appearance of a conflict of interest. This means that as an independent security consultant, I am not employed by or affiliated with companies that manufacture, sell, or install security products or guard services, and does not have any type of financial stake in such companies.
