Sew Brew aims to find creative solutions to spread awareness about complex environmental issues, by combining art, environmental activism and business, we offer products that are aesthetically pleasing while also making a positive impact on the world around us. Currently, we sell rings, jewelry, and keychains made from Lionfish fins. Lionfish is an invasive species here in the Atlantic, with no natural predators and they can eat other fish up to half of their own size. Lionfish are detrimental to marine biodiversity as they are consuming tons of smaller fish with no predators to consume it... besides humans. To promote the demand to cull lionfish, raise awareness about this issue and offer a stylish product, we created Lionfish rings. We will continue to grow due to the interconnectedness of environmental issues, we are now expanding to tackle the plastic crisis. With the new launch of jewelry made from upcycled microplastics collected from Bermuda's beaches, we will continue to spread the word surrounding the overconsumption of plastic and prove that you can be profitable while simultaneously incorporating Sew Brew hopes to illustrate that art can be used in a powerful way and hopefully inspire a positive change within our community.
