Funded by the Commonwealth Department of Social Services, Monash University’s Department of Forensic Medicine (DFM) is delivering Free Accredited Training in Recognising and Responding to Sexual Violence (ATSVR). Sitting under the National Plan to End Violence Against Women and Children 2022-2032, Monash hopes to equip frontline workers with appropriate skills and knowledge to respond to adult disclosures of Sexual Violence. Our mission is to deliver high quality and relevant training which drives effective patient care, improving service responses to and recovery for those who have experienced sexual violence. This training is delivered in two streams; CPD-accredited training for health professionals is delivered by DFM, and training for non-clinical frontline workers is delivered as Vocational Education Training (VET) by RMIT.
