WHAT IS SHAKA DANCE?
It'S a format created — by a dancer (20+ years choreographer), for existing and
aspiring dance instructors, to be able to teach creative choreographies. Shaka
Dance is a "Dance Coaching programme".
The core principle of Shaka Dance is "Rhythm and Style Fusion"—which means we
LEARN HOW TO creatively use steps from different/diverse dance forms and
choreograph them into one routine. Depending on your class skill level, you can
modify the choreographies to make them simpler or more intricate. At the end of
each Shaka Dance session (45-60 min), every participant walks off feeling
victorious from learning new steps/combos and, in turn, going off into life with
renewed confidence.
That's the essence of Shaka Dance.
This programme helps instructors teach a structured dance class and,
subsequently, turn the instructors into skilled dance teachers empowered enough
to run successful dance choreography classes.
