Share A Meal is an initiative that facilitates the distribution of wholesome, home - cooked meals to the needy and under privileged, prepared with love by the good people of Bangalore in their homes.
The Event takes place on the fourth Saturday of every month.
There are several ways to be a part of this initiative. You may choose to be any or all of the following:
I. Be A Meal Donor
II. Be A Collection Center
III. Be A Volunteer

I. Meal Donor
Cook a vegetarian meal that includes the below items:
> 4 Rotis/Pooris or 2 Parathas
> 250 ml Sabzi/Curry (preferably dry)
> 450 ml Rice Item (Pulav, Chitranna, Puliyogare, etc) (no plain rice)
You have to pack the meal and drop it off before 11:00 am at the nearest Collection Center spread across Bangalore. The Meal Boxes are available at a cost of ₹10 each at any of our Collection Centers. You can donate more than one meal.
The list of Collection Centers will be shared on the Share A Meal FB page as well the Event Page a few days prior to the event.
II. Collection Center
A Collection Center is a place where the filled Meal Boxes get collected. Once you sign up to be a Collection Center, packing material will be given to you, which you can provide to the Meal Donors at a cost of ₹10 each. Meal Donors with their cooked meals will deliver them at your Collection Center. These Meal Boxes then need to be delivered to the venue. If the number of Meal Boxes exceed 15, Volunteers will be provided to collect them.
The list of Collection Centers will be shared on the Share A Meal FB page as well the Event Page a few days prior to the event.
III. Volunteer
As a Volunteer, you will take care of the logistics of the event. You will help collect the Meal Boxes from various Collection Centers close to your locality and gather them at the venue. These Meal Boxes will then be distributed by you at the designated venue along with the other members and volunteers.
