Hello! My name is Sharon and I teach people all things bookkeeping. I have a bachelor's degree in Business Education and I am certified by the Pennsylvania Department of Education to teach Accounting.
I am a QuickBooks Online Certified Pro Advisor and in addition to teaching bookkeeping, I work as a full-charge bookkeeper.
I am also a Certified Online Instructor and I have created a Bookkeeping Certification Program that I have been teaching for the past 10 years.
My program has helped a variety of people ~ current bookkeepers who only know bookkeeping using software and have no idea of what happens behind the scenes, small business owner's who want to keep their own books, and business owner's who outsource their bookkeeping needs but want to understand the process.
In my experience as a bookkeeper, it amazes me (and saddens me) how many people are clueless when it comes to their books! If you want to be a bookkeeper, you have to know how it's done ~ I'm talking old school and learning the manual way, which is how my program is set up. If you're a business owner who wants to keep your own books, you need to understand how proper bookkeeping is done. If you're a business owner who outsources your bookkeeping needs, how do you know that everything is getting done accurately and in a timely fashion? Do you know the right questions to ask?
