Sheane Cosmetics Africa

Sheane Cosmetics Africa company information, Employees & Contact Information

One of the major problems contributing to climate change is carbon footprint and negligence in carbon offsetting in Africa. The shea tree, native to Ghana and other West African countries, was realized as a natural carbon offsetting tree that extracts a good percentage of carbon from the atmosphere by its presence. The shea butter, a by-product of the shea tree, was also a sustainable replacement for palm oil in cosmetic products. To bring the knowledge of more African countries and individuals about the importance of shea butter, I Sheane cosmetic was started as a business that uses shea butter as the primary oil in producing skin and hair creams. With further research, this project will expand by advocating for climate-friendly products through shea butter farming in Rwanda and other African nations that do not naturally have these trees. This is an expansion project that focuses on climate education and teaching the importance of carbon offsetting through shea tree farming, as well teach women and the youth the skill of processing these shea fruits into secondary and tertiary goods. Through this project, women and youth will be empowered financially and skillfully; countries will adopt natural means of offsetting carbon by growing shea trees. The African continent will grow towards a carbon-free era. Growing shea trees will as well increase the forest density in these countries. Watch us change the cosmetics narrative in Rwanda by 2030.
