The Sheffield Economics Society was established in 2005 and has since become one of the largest and most well known societies within Sheffield University’s Student’s Union. Each year the society’s committee has worked to construct a varied and interesting assortment of activities for our members. This has resulted in a society of nearly 500 members from a range of backgrounds and disciplines.
EconSoc is also the official University of Sheffield representative for the National Union of Student Business Societies (NUSBS). The NUSBS is a national network founded by student business societies. The network aims to support and represent student run business societies to help promote careers in the business world to students. The NUSBS is made up of the leading business related societies from all 24 Russell Group Universities and has a commitment to inspire the next generation.
